Water doesn’t wait for a working day. When a joint lets go the two things that matter are how fast somebody picks up and whether they know what to do on arrival.
We take emergency calls round the clock across Calderdale — bursts, frozen pipes that let go in a thaw, leaks under sinks and baths, overflowing cisterns, seized stopcocks and sudden losses of heating or hot water. Damage stopped first, priced second, repaired third.
Gas Safe registered, so servicing, repairs, swaps and landlord certificates all stay with us rather than being handed on to somebody else’s diary.
We fit combi, system and heat-only boilers, and unvented cylinders where a property genuinely needs stored hot water. Plenty of the larger stone houses round here have had a combi squeezed in and everybody upstairs has been disappointed since. Where a cylinder is the right answer we’ll say so.
Wet underfloor is the one worth planning early. Pipe laid to the right spacing, clipped down, manifolded and zoned, then pressure tested and left under pressure while the screed goes over it.
It suits extensions and open-plan rooms best, where the floor is coming up anyway. Retrofitting a single room afterwards is usually more disruption than it’s worth, and we’ll tell you that rather than quote for it.
Some leaks announce themselves. The expensive ones don’t — a stain spreading on a ceiling, a meter creeping up, a cellar that smells damp and shouldn’t.
We trace it back to where it’s actually coming from rather than opening the nearest wall and hoping, then show you what’s failed before putting it right.
New rads, vertical panels for narrow walls, traditional column radiators for period properties, and swaps or relocations where the old one was somewhere daft.
If a room never warms up we’ll find out why properly — sludge, balancing, a stuck valve or a pump on its way out — rather than bleeding it and hoping.
Blocked toilets, sinks that won’t empty, showers standing in water, waste pipes gurgling back.
Cleared, then we check what caused it. A collapsed trap or a waste run laid to a bad fall blocks again however many times it gets plunged, and it’s worth knowing which you’ve got.

Yes — Gas Safe registered, so we carry out and certify landlord gas safety checks and can service the boiler on the same visit. Useful if you’re managing a Calderdale property from elsewhere.
Often, and in older Halifax properties it’s one of the biggest improvements you can make. Whether it’s worth it comes down to your incoming mains flow rate, which we measure before recommending anything.
Yes — installation and repair, along with the expansion vessels and safety controls, plus conventional stored hot water systems.

Usually yes. Period properties often have pipework in odd places, so it’s a question of whether the existing runs can feed it or whether they want renewing. We’ll look before quoting.
Yes, teed off the mains with an isolation valve inside so it can be drained down before winter.
